The AeroPress is a compact coffee maker that works a bit like a syringe for coffee, it uses air pressure to push hot water through coffee grounds.

What it is:

• A simple brewing device made up of two main parts a cylindrical chamber and a plunger, plus a small filter cap at the bottom.

• Designed for portability and easy clean-up.

How it works:

1. Add coffee → You put ground coffee into the chamber. (we just bring a little tub of pre-ground coffee)

2. Add water → Pour in hot water (not boiling, around 80–90°C for best results).

3. Stir → Mix the coffee and water for a few seconds.

4. Insert plunger & press → Place the plunger in the top and gently press down.

   • This creates air pressure that pushes the brewed coffee through the paper or  filter into the base cup or cup of your choosing

5. Clean up → The coffee puck pops out with the filter, quick rinse and done.

Why it’s different:

• Uses pressure for faster extraction (around 1–2 minutes total brew time).

• Makes smooth, low-bitterness coffee.

The Aeropress Go does not take long to setup (I can set it up and get bored waiting for the kettle to finish boiling) - Cleaning it is even easier, you literally unscrew the filter cap when you're done, and then the coffee puck and paper filter go in the bin. A simple rinse and that is it - Job done.
