The Saber Alloy Winch Shackle Pro (AWS Pro) is a proper upgrade from your old-school winch hook. It’s made to work only with soft shackles, and the channel design gives your rope full support no sharp edges, no sketchy tight bends, just smooth operation that protects your gear.

Built from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium, this thing is seriously strong without adding unnecessary weight. It’s rated to 18,000KG MBS and finished in CERAKOTE™ ceramic coating for a hard-wearing, UV-stable surface that holds up in real Aussie conditions.

And yeah, it’s not just tough it’s smart too. The built-in Rubber Fairlead Engagement Pads (RFEP) protect your fairlead and help keep things steady while you’re working the winch.

The AOS canvas bag is seriously well built. You can tell it’s made in Australia by people who actually use their gear. Heavy canvas, proper zips that don’t snag, handles that don’t feel like they’ll give out after a few trip, it’s the kind of bag you stop worrying about, which is exactly what you want when you're out bush.

I’ve been using it for dry food and snacks on trips, and the clear top panel is surprisingly handy. It means I don’t have to unpack everything just to find the crackers or coffee. The whole thing packs really neatly in the back of the Jimny without sliding around.

Could you use it for tools, recovery gear, first aid? Easily. It’s one of those “buy once, use forever” bits of kit.

Honestly, it’s just a solid bit of design. No gimmicks, no BS, just well-made and ready to cop a beating.
